He has been Editor of four major aviation journals, including for Halldale, HMG and ICAO. He was Editor for the Royal Aeronautical Society’s President’s Briefing on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Safety.
He is Chair of the annual World Aviation Training Summit (WATS) Pilot Training Conference.
When Rick was at CAE, a leading editor rated the “CAE PR machine” as “one of the top 3 in the aviation industry.” He established a Thought Leadership Council of senior executives to proactively drive messaging through media interviews, industry conference presentations, and white papers. Rick also earned Air Transport World’s Gold Award for creative advertising.
At other organizations, Rick successfully navigated mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, a whistleblower scandal, and other crisis communications, as well as new business and product launches.
Rick is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS).

She is Founder and Publisher of CU Newswire, and has interviewed government leaders such as Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, former President of Poland Lech Walesa, and Mexican President Vicente Fox, as well as most credit union officials in the World Council of Credit Unions. She was also one of the founders and marketing director for the Digital Credit Union in Massachusetts, USA, and marketing director for the Polaroid Credit Union.
Nelson also marketed computer consultancy services for InterSkill, and managed internal communications and sales for the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Nelson is an accomplished novelist with 15 published titles, as well as two non-fiction books.
